H&G’s CIMB WUPID has signed a PHP200,000-00 deal to become the title sponsor of the Test Debate at the upcoming 2008 Australasian Intervarsity Debating Championship (Australs) this July - Australs this year is hosted by Ateneo De Manila.

The Australs is arguably the second largest debating event in the world, recording participation of an estimate 500 university student-debaters from around the Asia Pacific. Mr. Shamsul Azhar Ismail, managing director of H&G Strategic Communications said, “I’m delighted that we will be sponsoring the Test Debate again this year. It’s a unique and inspirational event in Australs. We want to make it meaningful, our aim is to help tolerance and understanding among future generations of leaders from Asia and, Australia and New Zealand.”

The Test Debate is an exhibitional debate which consist of debater’s finest in Australia and New Zealand versus Asia’s best. The Test Debate will be profiled as “CIMB WUPID Test Debate”.
